Hahnemühle Hemp Sketch is a strong, surprisingly versatile paper with a unique composition and texture. The cover recommends Hemp Sketch only for dry media, like pencils and pastels, and it makes an excellent surface for those traditional tools. The subtle surface texture grabs graphite and pastel pigment, allowing for dark marks and smooth gradients with dry media.

Perhaps even more impressive: all the unofficial uses we’ve found for this paper, like drawing with pigment inks, writing in fountain pen, and running it through our inkjet printer. We were surprised to find that none of our usual pens or inks bled through this paper, since it seems quite absorbent and soft.

Made in Germany from 60% hemp fibers and 40% cotton rag. A5 size (5.8″ x 8.3″). 80 sheets per pad.
