Made from 70% sugar cane fibers and 30% cotton, Hahnemühle Sugar Cane Watercolor Paper offers a pro-quality painting surface while making use of fast-growing, renewable resources. Both the sugar cane fibers and the cotton fibers are byproducts of industrial production—the sugar cane fiber is a waste product from food production, and the cotton rag is made from the scraps of textile production.

The paper is cold-pressed, strong, and soft, combining the toughness of sugar cane fibers with the softness and absorbency of cotton. All your usual watercolor and mixed media techniques will work on this paper, including washes, scrubbing, and lifting. The natural, warm white color is an ideal backdrop for any style of painting.

Offered in a mini pad (3.1″ x 4.1″), an A5 pad (5.8″ x 8.3″), and a glue-bound block (9.4″ x 12.6″). Made in Germany.
